All this survival stuff

I went to visit a lady for the weekend and her exhusband changed the mailing address for all of her bills so she had her electricity cut off. She was calling the electric company and she said they would reconnect her electricity on Monday.

She was sitting in the dark. I went to my car and got a flashlight since she didn't have a working one. I had a lighter which she didn't have so I lit all her candles with aluminum foil behind them for reflection.

We had a great weekend without the tv for a distraction. Strip checkers by candle light. Also strip poker by the fireplace since her furnace was out.

Anyway, if you're in a survival situation, you need water and fire. My son is teaching how to build a fire with matches.
Then without matches and making your own firemaking kit with a knife, found wood and shoelaces for the friction method.
Then he takes them out and makes them start a fire with that method.
Then he takes them out during a rainstorm for that method.
Then he takes them into the cold and wet for that method.

He told me when do you need a fire. When you're cold and wet. So learn to build a fire when it's cold and wet.

When he was around twelve years old, I bought him a survival knife with all the survival stuff in the handle. Weeks later, he showed me the knife and I looked into the handle. There was a twenty dollar bill.

He said it was cab fare. Urban survival knife.
